UK Mediation Skills Competition

DMC Associate mediators Paul Rose and Robert Sliwinski acted as Judges for the UK Mediation Skills Competition which was held last weekend in London. The 2012 winners were students of the London Metropolitan University and now have guaranteed entry into the 7th ICC INTERNATIONAL COMMERCIAL MEDIATION COMPETITION in to be held in Paris from 3 February to 8 February 2012.

The National Mediation Helpline (NMH) scheme to which DMC was an accredited member for the last few years has now been closed by the Government.The Ministry of Justice has replaced the National Mediation Helpline by an on-line listing of accredited mediation providers found on the www.directgov.uk web pages. The Dispute Mediation Consultancy (DMC) is please to announce that they are part of the new scheme being listed in over 40 different counties of England & Wales.

New on-line service replaces National Mediation Helpline

The Ministry of Justice has announced the replacement service for the National Mediation Helpline which is to close on the 30th September this year. The Dispute Mediation Consultancy will be listed on a new on-line searchable directory as part of this new service. It is expected that this new service will benefit the general public by allowing greater choice of mediation provider and enable those in dispute to choose mediators to suite individual cases.

The Dispute Mediation Consultancy have been selected to participate in the Ministry of Justice's Mediation Information Sessions in the Civil Courts (MISCC) pilot scheme. Our Mediators will be providing free advice sessions to members of the public for a week during January 2012.
