Professional background

Accredited workplace and commercial mediator.

Former HR Director with a range of board-level involvement and wide experience of workplace, employment and senior team conflict resolution across different business sectors.

Accredited as mediator with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (Commercial) and ADR Group (Workplace). 

Originally a practising barrister, followed by 25+ years' industrial, commercial and professional services experience as an HR specialist.  Along with continuous hands-on work with employees, employers, directors and partners, has sat on a number of executive boards, including as Chief Executive of an NHS trust.  

A practical and direct approach to mediation, based on senior level experience and handling of working relationships at all levels.  Has led HR teams at Rhône-Poulenc Rorer, Wellhouse NHS Trust, Oxford University Press, Phillips Auctioneers and Slaughter and May.

Holds the Financial Times Non-Executive Director Certificate, is a non-executive director of the Metropolitan Support Trust and sits on the Disciplinary Appeal Committee of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
