Dominic Stanger qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1989 having completed a Bsc degree in Estate Management at Reading University. He has over 22 years experience in private practice and is an equity partner in WT Gunson, who are Manchester's longest established firm of general practice surveyors. Dominic is in charge of the professional services department, and has wide experience in all aspects of commercial and residential property.

Dominic has a special interest in dispute resolution, and is on the RICS president's panel receiving appointments to act as Arbitrator and Independent Expert in property disputes. Dominic is also trained as an Expert Witness and has experience in giving oral evidence in both County and High Court.

In 2009 he expanded this interest in resolving disputes by completing training as an RICS accredited Mediator, and then consolidated that training by acting as a co-mediator with three experienced lawyer mediators. 

Dominic is currently conducting about five mediations per year on a variety of disputes including commercial, community, and homelessness cases.

Dominic is married with three children and has lived in South Manchester since 1990.
